Help with this text effect?
« on: October 30, 2015, 05:40:07 PM »
Hi all,

Been awhile since I've been here. Fortunately we've been real busy.
I have a graphic that I need to duplicate the effect and can't find how to do it. Photoshop, Illustrator or CorelDraw, doesn't matter. I use all of them. Just trying to find the best way to get this look.
Thanks for any help!

Just off the top of my head I think you can make that in photoshop with a motion filter, I remember doing something like that many moons ago.

Hard to explain in detail, but newer versions of photoshop have pretty robust 3D tools. You can make the text 3D and apply an effect pretty easily. This is one of those things where there are probably a half dozen ways to do it. I would Google something like "photoshop 3D text tutorial" to get atarted.

Quick guess would be to duplicate the later ("Star Wars") in Photoshop, placing it BENEATH, then using Eraser #39 to erase mall portions before using the motion blur tool in Eye Candy/"Masking Low'...
