corel x4 node spacing
« on: January 05, 2012, 02:32:55 PM »
Hi teammates happy new year ;)
Is it possible to use spacing while selecting nodes,
just like when you select objects to distribute them across selection, or across page
in corel x4 this option is greyout, when i select the nodes, maybe corel x5 is capable of doing this
it would be great time saver for me to be able to do it automatically,
rather than manually
any thoughts
thanks

I am not sure why you would space nodes with in an object? But if you mean line up nodes vertically or horizontally that option is there.

Select two or more nodes with the node tool then in the properties bar there is a button to click for align nodes, you will then have the option for horizontal or vertical. Very useful for me I use all the time,

the idea came when i was using the freehand tool, drawing  envelope shapes
and sometimes when editing nodes, i wish a better quicker way to spacing them nodes .
even align horizontal or vertical seems a little time consuming each time i click in the property bar to open the window
just my way of thinking

There is the beauty of Corel I am sure if you go into the options and find any command you use often you can assign a hot key. I have lots of hot keys, example I have my #1 key for wire frame view, and my #2 for enhanced view. And many many more.
