Printing on nylon
« on: February 13, 2022, 12:12:46 AM »
I have some nylon bags to print.   I usually use Nylobond or some additive I cannot get right now.
I thought of adding the powder I use for transfers to the plastisols.
Anybody have any ideas for printing plastisol on Nylon.

The best Nylon Inks are from International Coatings. See if you can get your hands on their products.
Next we are trying Magna Colours primer for nylon.

I don`t think the powder solution will work. If you mix it in then ink there won`t be enough of it on the very outer layer of the ink that actually makes contact with the fabric unless you add plenty, but then you won`t be able to print that ink at all any longer. Besides, you will have to get it hot enough to melt. That`s where the heat press comes in pressure plus high temperature. Why not print transfers?

I would just go with nylon transfers.

We have done Nylobond in plastisol in the past with success, do not do it without that additive or similar though!
