Timing all about timing
« on: September 19, 2012, 07:31:52 AM »
So we had a good week selling and orders lined up for the next week. I kick my dryer on and nothing.... look into it and see some parts were shot off the motor control board, I am assuming I will be replacing my conveyor motor this week and the board. Can this stuff happen at a better time? Thinking of getting a vastex dryer mostly for the price and its new, any suggestions, manual shop want spend 3k or less we have 240 volt single 40 amp.

check out a gas dryer if you have enough gas running into the building.  the heat is more even and they are cheaper to run

crap, our gas bill is never that cheap.  we have about $74 in fees before I even use a puff(?) of gas.

Ours is usually around $150 or so.

I have a vastex and i love it. Im a garage guy and my orders are not continues but I can see the power bill spike after a week of printing all day of about $50 bucks. So one could say it would cost around $200 in electric, that is including the flash which is a huge electric hog. At least the dryer cuts on and off once it reaches temp of about 850.

What's to explain? He can literally build something to your needs and/or specs. He knows his stuff.

Is it a specific company or product or one offs designed to do what I would like? I am just not familiar with him that's all.

He's an industry equipment expert who has been around forever, formerly out here in California and now in Florida.
I'm sure that he would also talk to you about your choices.
btw, he posts here under Californiadreaming.

Dryers are one of the few things I could trust from a non-major company. Really
not much to them.

There's definitely a niche out there for smaller gas fired dryers that probably aren't
worth it for the major players to build.

Sweets, I am a small "botique" machine builder.
I guess I have Sonny & Frog fooled! But heck I'll take the confusion.
Like many "other" small business, all over America, I try my best to produce a great product, at a fair
price. I stay busy, and have a "few" happy customers. I will either stay small,or very soon "ramp up" to
produce more machines, at a higher level. No different than most, who work hard, smart, hopefully make a
little money, and have some fun. I don't advertise, and havn't needed too.If I go to the next level I will. I have owned
and operated 12 auto machine shops, as well as a single color manual press, curing with an iron.  Walking quietly,
humbley, fits my style much more than "other" persons, who promise more but,well..., not really worth the conversation!
It wasn't too many years ago that another "small" company, brought his design of screen printing equipment, to a VERY
partisan screen print industry, and has managed to do more than OK , and has fed  ALOT of hungry mouths! Not Bad!
If I can be of help, as always call or email me.
