Imagesetter, FREE!
« on: December 19, 2012, 04:23:49 PM »
Varityper 5300

One RIP, I think we have two actual imagesetters, one for
proofing the other for film. You can has both.

It's old. It's heavy. It works. It produces beautiful film.
It requires chemical processing. Darkroom load auto processor
and chemicals included. Film included. Multiple film
cartridges included. Uses 12" IR film.

Windows XP at least had drivers for it, looks like Windows 7 does
too, it's Postscript, so I don't see why it wouldn't. Hook it up, print
straight from your graphics program.

Will strap to a pallet but getting it out of here and to you is your
responsibility.

Just trying to maybe help someone out, otherwise it's going to the scrappers.

Would be a great deal for someone close by printing small prints.

Did you ever print from it?   So thats 12" wide film on a roll I take it.

You're a little far for shipping on that for me. Weighing the cost and chemical hassle versus digital.  Good quality images I'll bet.

Do you know the max dpi rez on it?
