Poly spandex vinyl ?
« on: January 23, 2013, 12:36:16 AM »
I have a real nice order one color on poly spandex. The color is white. I was thinking of using cut vinyl. Have any of you guys used a good material that will heat seal well and have a good amount of stretch to it?

Try Specialty Materials Thermoflex Plus. It will stretch with the garment but as always with stretch materials just because someone can squeeze into a small doesn't mean it fits and if stretched too much no mater what you use the transfer or imprint will crack, rip, come off, etc.

Siser has a newish  one called Easy Weed Stretch
That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

I think most of the thinner vinyls will work unless it needs to be real stretchy. Stahls premium plus is nice, but a nightmare to cut. Imprintables as a thermo flex type (sorry can't think of the name). they are both matte looking I believe. I've always had problems cutting any of the Matte products. Not sure why but I do.

could never cut corners cleanly. would always seem to "round" them off. Not sure why, could never figure it out. It was with the stahls premium plus and their Sportflm lite. both matte and could never get a good cut on them. tried on several occasions. Unfortunately I really like the end result, but couldn't get it to work. I've pretty much gone impritables eco-film for just about everything now. thin and goes on a 300 degrees, cuts good detail, occasionally you get some with a real sticky backing and then its  a pain to weed.

Are there a lot of them to print, i have been using the Silicone ink specifically the white for Under Armour compression shirts and it works excellent, prints real easy and stretchessssssssss.
