Anyone have their equipment on vibration pads? Mainly thinking of compressor and dryer, maybe presses and emb machines.
Idea being to reduce any vibrational noise/feeling. Both are relatively quiet, (comp is rotary) but as I get older I appreciate quiet.

On the same note, what about embroidery room flooring? We've had both finished concrete and now commercial carpet. Carpet
definitely dampens noise but is a nightmare to cleanup threads, any kind of spinning vacuum doesn't stand a chance.

I use this attachment on my shopvac. The press area of the shop (roughly 18x40) is wall to wall low carpet on cement, it was a men's clothing store. Press, dryer and compressor all sit on it.

Machinery felt and adhesive, simple inexpensive solution. Use it to mount all kinds of machinery big and small.

Hahaa sooo funy! The noise of packiging tape guns always drove me nuts, thus the paper tape dispenser. Get the largest toilet bowl brush you can find, it picks up the tread on carplet like crazy. FYI, embroidery noise is no joke to your ears, my hearing is jacked from the countless hours behind a 12 head in small room. A few foam panels on walls and ceilng will help minimize sound as well.

This reminds me of a story my grandpa told. He worked at Munsingwear back in the day and there was a knit developer named Woodhead(can't remember his first name, but his daughter is a customer of ours funny enough) But he designed and patented a lot of knits and knitting processes back in the 50-70's.  I am not sure if he developed the tricot knit or not, but they had a tricot knitting machine in the basement of Munsingwear that had to be put up on rubber blocks because it shook the entire building while it ran.  They were afraid it would crack the foundation.
