Maybe!

Depends on the dyes used. Typically though, this is one application where plastisol is a better choice. When you have a varied background, unless your ink color is really suited to it (IE red ink on black/white tiedye) you will want the print to stand up and off the shirt and maybe even gloss a little.

Did a test on one last week, but it was a lighter colored shirt and the red discharge looked ok, but I think if it were a darker shirt then it would have not been good.  I cannot remember the brand of the shirt either, so I'm not much help in this.
I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it -T.J.
